Waggy Pup Tails Dog Treats
2 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
2 eggs
1/2 cup pumpkin
2 tablespoons peanut butter
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Water, at least 1 teaspoon
Have an adult preheat the oven to 350F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
In a large bowl, stir together the flour, eggs, pumpkin, peanut butter, salt, and cinnamon.
Transfer the mixture onto the kitchen counter and knead with your hands until the mixture comes together. Add water if needed, 1 tsp at a time, until it’s easy to squish but not gooey. The mixture should be dry and stiff.
Roll the dough out with a rolling pin to about 1/2-inch thickness. Use cookie cutters to cut shapes, and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
With help from an adult, bake at 350F for 40 minutes. The treats should be golden brown and crunchy. Let cool before feeding to your dog.
