American Girl Chicago is located on the corner of Michigan Ave. and Chestnut St. in Water Tower Place. There are two interior entrances from the mall and one exterior entrance on Michigan Ave.

Beyond shopping, level one includes guest services, personal shopping, and the bookstore. Level two includes shopping, the Care Center for dolls, the café, Maryellen's Sweet Shop, the salon, and ear piercing.

You may return or exchange your item(s) at any American Girl store location. We only accept returns of products purchased directly from American Girl, either online or at an American Girl store. Please return all other products to the original place of purchase. All returns are monitored and may be limited. A merchandise credit will be issued if the purchase cannot be verified.

The parking lot and entrance to the store are wheelchair accessible. There is an elevator in the store and all restrooms are accessible. There is also wheelchair-accessible seating in the restaurant.

Reservations are not required to dine in our café. However, if you would like to secure a time, you can make reservations on this page. We often fill to capacity during lunch.

For curbside pickup, turn from Michigan Ave. onto Pearson St., which is a one-way heading east. Just before the Ritz Carlton Hotel, turn left into the driveway underpass that separates Water Tower Place Mall and the Ritz Carlton Hotel. Once there, call 312-288-2700 for curbside pickup. For in-store pickup, go to Guest Services, located on the first level.

There are many ways to share a day to remember at American Girl! Starting with a café visit for brunch, lunch, or teatime--we offer a menu that delights girls, including a Treat Seat for her doll. Next up is a visit to the Salon, where matching hairstyles are always available. Plus, your girl and her doll can get her ears pierced and nails done too. We also have complimentary personal shoppers that will assist with showing your girl our top gifts and special items that fit her personality. Finally, try the Styled by You experience, which allows your girl to create a personalized doll with fashions and accessories. Some of these experiences require a reservation, so we do recommend checking before visiting.
