Nine-year-old Saige Copeland is looking forward to the new school year, until she finds out that due to funding cuts, her Albuquerque school won’t have any art classes this year. Add to that, Saige’s best friend Tessa seems to be growing apart from her—and closer to a girl named Dylan. Why does everything have to change? For help, Saige turns to her Grandma Mimi, who rides her beautiful horse Picasso in the Balloon Fiesta parade every year. Mimi encourages Saige to do something to help—rally her friends to raise money for the art classes they love. But just as her ideas begin to take off, her grandma is injured in an accident. Can Saige ride Picasso in the parade and make her grandma proud? And can she still raise money for the arts? Saige will have to face stage fright—and friendship troubles—to find her voice and help save the arts at school. Running time: 90 minutes.
